Wygwam, a division of the Niko Group, is a dynamic organization specializing in innovative solutions. We are currently looking for a strategic Senior Buyer to join our procurement team and play a pivotal role in optimizing our global supply chain.
As a Senior Buyer, you will be the driving force behind our international sourcing strategies for electronic components and technical materials. You will bridge the gap between technical requirements and supplier capabilities, working closely with R&D, Engineering, Operations, and Quality. By optimizing our total cost of ownership and mitigating risks, you ensure our commercial readiness and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities
Build, own, and implement (international) sourcing strategies for electronic components and technical materials
Select, evaluate, and contract suppliers that align with our high standards for quality and innovation
Lead comprehensive contract negotiations focusing on pricing, quality, delivery terms, and SLAs
Manage and nurture supplier relationships, conducting regular performance reviews to drive continuous excellence
Monitor market developments proactively and identify potential supply chain risks before they impact operations
Collaborate closely with R&D, Engineering, Operations, and Quality departments to ensure seamless alignment between procurement and technical needs
Optimize total cost of ownership (TCO), lead times, and inventory levels across the board
Initiate and drive continuous improvement projects within our procurement and supply chain processes
What you'll bring
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
More as 5 years of experience as a Senior Buyer, specifically within a technical or electronics environment – Preferably in a leadership role
Solid knowledge of electronic components (such as PCBs, semiconductors, connectors, and EMS)
Proven experience working with international suppliers, particularly in Asia and Europe
Strong negotiation skills paired with a highly analytical and strategic mindset
Hands-on experience with ERP systems to streamline procurement processes
Dutch speaking, Business fluent English

Who are we looking for?
A tech-savvy Field and Support Engineer with expertise in Home Automation and Energy Management.
Within our Customer Service department, you and your team provide L2 technical advice and support to professional customers and users. You are the point of contact for more complex technical issues. In addition, you inform and advise all L1 support teams across Europe to help them acquire the right knowledge within your area of expertise.
You handle phone and written inquiries regarding new or more complex technical issues involving Niko and/or connected systems. You analyze, conduct in-depth investigations, and search for appropriate solutions. You use remote tools and, when necessary, also perform on-site interventions.
You develop expertise in one or more technologies or products, with a focus on energy management. You act as a key point of contact, initiate root cause analyses, and work on structural solutions and product improvements in collaboration with Product Management and R&D.
You provide professional technical services on-site, supporting installers in implementing and configuring the desired functionalities.
You document solutions and answers to technical questions and issues as input for the Knowledge Base. You also train your colleagues.
You proactively contribute ideas regarding new support tools, knowledge management, and process and service optimization, while maintaining regular contact and sharing insights with Product Management and R&D.
Profile
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferably electronics or computer science.
Expertise in, or strong affinity with, Home Automation and Energy Management.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
Dynamic and flexible team player with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
Independent worker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with customers, colleagues, and other departments.
Very good command of Dutch, French, and English.
Proficient in MS Office and software systems.

As an Application Software Developer in the Wygwam R&D team, you contribute to the software development of our IoT solutions for building automation, and its different applications on mobile phones, computers, and custom hardware.
You are part of a multidisciplinary scrum team that takes ownership of designing and implementing our platform and its software features, with a focus on the applications.
You are responsible for developing and maintaining new software solutions within Wygwam’s IoT portfolio.
Estimate, execute, and implement the software solutions in accordance with our Agile software development process.
Be a part of a multi-disciplinary agile team that takes ownership of designing, implementing, and maintaining all applications within the NHC ecosystem.
Perform code review, document, and maintain software solutions in a structured and natural way of working
Suggest, discuss, and define the optimum interface between hardware and software
Collaborate with our validation team on various test procedures for automated and functional tests of the implemented code
Work closely together with the User Experience & Design team, to safeguard the usability and looks of your work
Profile
We are looking for an application software developer with a couple of years of experience. You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or similar engineering domain or equal through experience.
